Carla Monoy is a Research Assistant in the Center for Computational and Genomic Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She received her B.S. in Biology from the University of the Philippines and her M.S. in Ecology from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her research on plant communities seeks to understand species composition, functional diversity, and population dynamics in response to recurrent natural disturbance. She is broadly interested in the application of molecular genetic techniques in answering ecological questions.
