Emad Bahrami-Samani is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Center for Computational and Genomic Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He received his B.E. in Software Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) in 2007, his M.S. in Computer Science from the University of New Brunswick in 2009, and his Ph.D. in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics from the University of Southern California in 2015. His training with Dr. Xing began in 2015 in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics at UCLA. His primary research interests are in developing probabilistic models and statistical methods to investigate all aspects of RNA processing and determining how these processes are regulated by RNA-binding proteins and miRNAs using high-throughput sequencing technologies.
