Keisuke Yamada, BE
Rotation Student
Keisuke Yamada is PhD student with the Bioengineering Graduate Program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Applied Science and Engineering. He received his BE in Electrical Engineering and Bioscience from Waseda University (2022). Keisuke has a hybrid wet/dry research background that includes wet-lab sequence design to engineer optogenetic protein tools, and the development of a deep-learning model to predict RNA-protein interactions. For his PhD research, he is broadly interested in designing biological sequences using both machine learning predictions and high-throughput measurements. Outside the lab, Keisuke enjoys playing video games, playing the piano, and bouldering.
