Levon Demirdjian is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Center for Computational and Genomic Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He recently completed his Ph.D. in Statistics (2018) at UCLA. He received his B.A. in Economics (2010) and M.S. in Mathematics (2013) from California State University Northridge. His research focuses on developing statistical methods and computational tools that leverage 2nd and 3rd generation sequencing methods in order to decipher the role of transcriptomic complexity in health and disease. He participates in an ongoing collaboration with the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center for modeling extreme precipitation events using data generated from the TRMM and GPM satellite missions. He is also a former fellow of the Burroughs Wellcome Fund Inter-school Training Program in Chronic Diseases.
