Yang Pan is a Ph.D. candidate in the Bioinformatics Interdepartmental Graduate Program at UCLA. He received his B.S. in Biochemistry from Jilin University in China and his M.S. in Bioinformatics from George Washington University. His research interests involve developing dedicated computational methodologies to understand biological and biomedical big data. His work focuses on the discovery of efficient therapeutic targets for cancer via innovative in silico approaches. He received the Oak Ridge Associated Institute Science and Education (ORISE) Fellowship in 2013.
