Xinjun Ji, PhD

Research Assistant Professor

Xinjun Ji is a Research Assistant Professor of Genetics at the University of Pennsylvania (Penn), and a member of the Center for Computational and Genomic Medicine (CCGM) at CHOP. He earned his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Peking Union Medical College (1999). Dr. Ji completed his postdoc in the Department of Genetics at Penn with Dr. Stephen Liebhaber, where he went on to become a Research Assistant Professor. He is an active researcher in the area of RNA biology, particularly RNA binding proteins (RBPs) and ribonucleoprotein (RNP) complexes. His specific research interests include investigating the roles of RBPs and RNPs in normal development and diseases, as well as developing RNA-based approaches to modulate RNA-protein interactions for research and therapeutic applications.
