Matt Mouck, BS

Graduate Student

Matt Mouck is PhD student in the Genomics and Computational Biology (GCB) program in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated from Penn State (2021) with a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with Honors and with summa cum laude distinction. He was first exposed to RNA and bioinformatics research during his undergrad studying RNA regulation in bacteria hosted by humans. With the Xing lab, he integrates RNA sequencing and proteomics data to perform splicing/isoform analysis for pediatric glioblastoma to discover potential molecular markers and targets. Outside the lab, Matt enjoys running, spending time with friends, and reading (often Harry Potter again).
